Description
John McIntire is cleaning his attic. John is a well known artist and long time Memphis resident, most noted for his sculptures. Mr. McIntire is also known in Memphis for his coffee shop, The Bitter Lemon, and his home known as Beatnik Manor which became in 1960's an unofficial creative center of art and music. He has found an eclectic mix of music memorabilia of that era in his collections.
Here is another great find.
This listing is an unframed flyer, 8.5" x 11" for "The Pastime" which was a coffee house on Madison Ave. Memphis, TN. This is dated 1962 and signed by the artist John McIntire on the bottom front. He wrote a little note on the back. This flyer was promoting the entertainment "The Harris Bros., The Pub Singers and Jazz". This great print has black lettering with gold accents.
Flyer does show some age toned appearance in the paper, NO holes or tears! It has been folded at one time. This is a rare and unique item and is still quite legible and in Great condition. Ready for a new frame and a new wall to be admired for many more years!
