    Description

    This is a remarkable book
    History of Battery "C"
    148th Field Artillery
    American Expeditionary Forces
    Written in Germany by
Paul M. Davis and Hubert K. Clay
Drawings by John F. Hubacek and Allen W. Hale
    Memorial Edition 1919
Looks like it belonged to Percy L. Thornton in Portland Oregon as his name and address is inside
There are multiple signatures.  I expect they did that during the reunion. I took pictures close-up in case you are looking for someone in particular.  I will be happy to get back to you if you need a name checked.
Battery "C" had men from Wyoming, Colorado and North Carolina
They participated in the Battle of Chateau-Thierry, Champagne-Marne Defensive, Aisne-Marne Offensive, St Mihiel Offensive, Meuse-Argonne Offensive firing a total of 67,590 rounds of ammunition (Wikipedia).
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Please check the condition above.  It is pretty remarkable for its age.
