POOLE POTTERY TRUDA ADAMS TRADITIONAL TR GRAPES PATTERN POT - GWEN HASKINS

This wonderful Poole shape 287 pot was probably made in the late 1940’s or early 50’s and is decorated in the striking TR Grapes pattern which Truda Adams modified from the original NY Grapes pattern designed by Erna Manners in 1921
The impressed shape number dates it to being made no earlier than 1947, it has the factory backstamp in use since 1930 and the decorator’s mark is that of senior paintress Gwen Haskins who was with the pottery from 1938 to 1977
It is 3.5" (9cm) high, 3.25" (8cm) diameter at the widest pint, the rim is 2.75” (7cm) diameter and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing
A very nice piece seldom seen on the market that will make a fine addition to your collection or a lovely gift
