    original pre-concert handbill
    from April of 1957, for a packed jazz show,
    Birdland Stars of 1957
    , appearing in Berkeley and San Francisco, California.
    The performances were headlined by
    Count Basie and his Orchestra (featuring Joe Williams), Sarah Vaughan
    , and
    Billy Eckstine
    .  The supporting acts performing in this great show include
    Jeri Southern, the Bud Powell Trio, the Terry Gibbs Quartet, Zoot Sims, Lester Young, Phineas Newborn, Rolf Kuhn, Seldon Powell, Jimmy Jones, Richard Davis and Roy Haynes.
    This scarce thin paper handbill measures 6" x 9" and is in Very Fine + condition.  There is a very feint line in the upper right hand corner, and a small age spot in the upper right hand corner as well (see photo) otherwise it great overall condition.  This is a 63-year old piece of great jazz memorabilia!
