    ABOUT URBAN LEAF
We exist as a company because we think health and sustainability matter. A lot. And we want to do something about it. Our mission as a company is to share the many benefits of gardening and growing our own food with people just like you. We specialize in beginner-friendly indoor and urban gardening products for city dwellers. We launched in 2017 via a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter with a project called 'The World's Smallest Garden', and since then have been busily making it our mission to make the world just a little bit greener, one homegrown plant at a time. All our products come with a Green Thumb Promise - not because we think they're perfect, but because we realize that gardening is a voyage and not a destination. If at first you don't succeed or are not satisfied with the results, just get in touch for a full refund or replacement. We want more than anything to make a successful gardener out of you, and will do whatever it takes to get you there!
Better For You, Better For The Environment
    Urban Leaf ('Replacement') vs AeroGarden
From an actual customer review, this image shows the side-by-side comparison of our product vs the AeroGarden original ones. The Urban Leaf product, shown on the left has superior shape and form. It is also made from sustainably produced coco coir, unlike the AeroGarden ones which use peat moss. Coco coir is also helpful for managing water chemistry in hydroponics.
    End View of AeroGarden Sponges
Close up of one of the grow sponges that come in this kit. Notice that the end features a small hole or divot - this is for placing your precious seeds into so that they don't fall off into the water.
    Packaging for Grow Sponges
Rather than nasty plastic, we opted for kraft paper bags to package this product. It's similar to the bags that you might purchase coffee in at the supermarket. It does have a semi-water proof lining (since the sponges come damp) to protect the paper. Sometimes the paper doesn't hold up as well as we'd hoped - but hey, we'll take the 1 star reviews if it means doing our part for the environment.
