We use this perlite as a substrate additive to provide the perfect amount of drainage for our Aroids and Hoya.
This perlite is made from naturally occurring siliceous rock that is heated to 1600° F. We love it because it doesn't float to the surface which provides adequate drainage and prevents soil compaction.This extra coarse perlite #4 measures about 1 inch and is one of the largest in the market.
